Question types and options
Without an option, a question followed by choices (+ for a correct choice, - for an incorrect choice) is an MCQ. For any other type, add an option on the line after the statement, preceded by :::
::single: SCQ (only one correct choice)::openor::ouverte: Open question::truefalse: True/False question. Mark the correct answer with+ Trueor+ False(True by default if you write no choice).::spreadsheet: Spreadsheet question::schema: Schema question::coefficient(2): the question's number of points::columns(2): choices displayed in 2 columns
Additional statement text goes between three percent signs: %%% Your text %%%.
Code, File upload and Matching questions cannot be imported in Text format: add them afterwards in the editor.
3. The price elasticity of a basic necessity is generally low.
::truefalse
+ True
4. Calculate the elasticity from the table provided.
::spreadsheet
::coefficient(2)Common errors
❗ A number must always end with a period: 1., 2. or 1.1., 1.2.. Written as 1.1 (no final period) or 1), it is not recognized and the import fails with an error like “Unknown token for Quiz: correct_answer”.
Two-level numbers (1.1., 1.2.) group questions into the same exercise, displayed on a single page. For questions on separate pages, simply number them 1., 2., 3.
❗ Be sure to include the exam title. Otherwise the import will not work; it currently causes the error “Unexpected string (1:0)”

❗ Be sure to escape the dashes of bulleted lists in the question, choice or statement text fields. Otherwise this can cause import problems.
Use \- instead of -
Example:
Use the format below:
1. The SPORT & CO association is organizing a sports event and incurs several expenses.
Service invoice
Invoice dated 09/20/N received from the provider EVENTPRO:
\- Sports equipment rental: €4,500 excl. VAT
\- Exceptional discount granted: 10%
\- Delivery fees: €150 excl. VAT
\- 20% VAT on the total
\- Credit note already received on 09/05/N: €600 incl. VAT
What is the net amount payable, including VAT, on this invoice?
+ €4,440.00
- €4,488.00
- €3,738.00
- €4,188.00
====
Calculation: Rental €4,500 excl. VAT – 10% discount = €4,050 excl. VAT + delivery fees €150 excl. VAT → Total excl. VAT = €4,200; 20% VAT = €840; Total incl. VAT = €5,040 – credit note already received €600 incl. VAT
Net amount payable = €4,440.00 incl. VAT.instead of:

My exam subject uses choices A., B., C. and a “Correct answer: B” line. Why is it not recognized?
My exam subject uses choices A., B., C. and a “Correct answer: B” line. Why is it not recognized?
The Text format does not recognize choices numbered with a letter (A., B., C.) or a line such as “Correct answer: B”. These lines are read as statement text: the question then has no choices and the import fails.
Each choice must start with + (correct choice) or - (incorrect choice), on its own line. For an MCQ:
# My exam
1. What is the capital of France?
- Lyon
+ Paris
- Marseille
- BordeauxIf you want to keep the letters, put them in the choice text, after the sign: + (B) Paris. For a question with a single correct choice, add ::single below the statement.
