Add Evalmee as an external app to your course

❗ Depending on the configuration chosen by your organization, Evalmee may not be available for all courses in your organization.

This is usually the case when your organization is trying out Evalmee.

As a result, you will need to add the Evalmee app manually to each course.

In Canvas, open the course where you want to create the exam.
Go to your course Settings > Apps > + App
Configure the app:
- Configuration Type: By Client ID
- Client ID: paste the client ID provided by your administrator here
- Click Submit
- In the confirmation window that follows, click Install

Go to Assignments > + Assignment
Fill in your assignment
- Name
- Points (mandatory, should be > 0)
- Submission Type
  - Select External Tool
  - Click Find
  - Click Evalmee, then Select
Click Save
The exam is now created on Evalmee and will be displayed in Canvas. If you are using Evalmee for the first time, you will need to answer a few questions to set up your account.

❗ The following settings in Canvas will not be synced with Evalmee with the current integration:

Beforehand, you should have assigned the exam to all participants taking it by leaving Everyone selected. See the demo above.
If not, check it by clicking Edit Assignment Settings.
You should see something like this:
Note that the assignment is visible in Canvas to all assigned participants, but the Evalmee exam can only be taken by participants synced to Evalmee.

❗ By default, all participants in the Canvas course will be synced to Evalmee.

As a result, you cannot (yet) assign the Evalmee exam to specific groups of participants in your Canvas course. (Coming soon)

❗ The schedule that counts is the one set in Evalmee.

You can sync participants’ grades from Evalmee to Canvas.
